(Portland, OR)  --  A contested report says China put spy chips in computers built for a Portland company.  The Bloomberg article published yesterday claims that the stealth chips were placed in devices made for Elemental Technologies.  The apparent purpose of the chips was to allow China to spy on American companies and governmental institutions.  Amazon reportedly found the chips three years ago when they were planning to buy Elemental, a deal they later completed.  Amazon says the article is inaccurate, and so does Apple.
