Explosions Prompt Evacuations At Portland Trash Station

(Portland, OR)  --  Things are getting back to normal at a Portland garbage and recycling transfer station after multiple explosions yesterday.  Authorities say the place was evacuated yesterday morning after a 55-gallon drum was seen leaking and some small explosions were heard.  Hazmat crews at the Metro Central Transfer Station say they believe the liquid was not dangerous.  An investigation is ongoing.
