Two More Lawsuits Filed In Deadly Amtrak Crash

(Seattle, WA)  --  Amtrak is facing two more lawsuits from victims of last December's deadly train derailment in DuPont.  Seattle PI reports an injured train passenger and the widower of a killed train passenger both filed lawsuits Tuesday in U.S. District Court of Western Washington.  The lawsuits allege that Amtrak violated the state Consumer Protection Act in the crash that killed three people and injured dozens more.  There are currently more than 20 cases related to the crash awaiting trial.  The train was making its maiden voyage on a new high-speed route from Seattle to Portland when the train derailed and spilled onto I-5 below.
