Portland Schools Receive $11 Million Grant For College Readiness

(Portland, OR)  --  Portland Public Schools will receive an eleven million dollar grant over seven years.  The funds will be used to help low-income students get on track to attend college.  The school district will join an Oregon State University mentoring and college readiness program as part of the effort.  Three college-age alumni of Roosevelt, Madison, and Jefferson high schools are expected to be hired to serve as mentors.
