Portland Faithful Honor Victims Of Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting

(Portland, OR)  --  Portland's faithful are coming together to show support for the victims of Saturday's deadly shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh.  A "Community Gathering of Peace" took place yesterday at Congregation Beth Israel Reform Temple.  Local leaders including Mayor Ted Wheeler took to the podium to speak out against anti-Semitism and other forms of hate.  Eleven people were killed Saturday morning when a man stormed into the Tree of Life Synagogue, shouted "All Jews must die" and opened fire.  Forty-six-year-old Robert Bowers is charged with eleven counts of first-degree murder.
