(Beaverton, OR) -- Oregon's two largest corporate employers are calling for transgender equality. OregonLive reports that Nike and Intel joined dozens of other companies yesterday in opposing President Trump's proposed redefinition of gender. A federal memo stating that gender is defined by biology caused an outcry in the LGBTQ community. Its adoption could mean legal protections may be lost. The move continues a socially active stance from Nike and Intel, whose Oregon headquarters are in Beaverton and Hillsboro, respectively.
