Man Gets 17 Years For Shooting Death, Injury Downtown

(Portland, OR)  --  A man is facing nearly two decades behind bars for killing a man and injuring a woman in downtown Portland.  A judge sentenced 50-year-old Thomas Dorris yesterday to 17 years in prison followed by three years of post-prison supervision.  He's accused of shooting and killing Chester Eugene Newborn and shooting a woman in the leg, injuring her, in 2016.
