(Keizer, OR)  --  The Keizer Fire Department is celebrating the recent election.  The Statesman-Journal reports that voters overwhelmingly renewed a five-year operating levy last week which accounts for about a quarter of the department's budget.  The vote allows firefighters to keep a dozen people on staff for a second medic unit.  Calls have been peaking at the fire department, and about 80-percent of the requests are for emergency medical services.
