(Portland, OR)  --  A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car while fixing his own broken-down vehicle on the side of Highway 47.  Police say the man was working on his car last night when a passing car struck him.  He was airlifted to a Portland hospital trauma center.  The other driver was cited for careless driving.
