(Portland, OR)  --  Hate crimes appear to be on the rise in Oregon.  The FBI released data earlier this week showing hate crimes rose 40-percent last year in the state.  Nationwide, hate crimes were up 17-percent.  The Oregon Coalition Against Hate Crime tells KATU-2 they witnessed a spike in hate crimes reported to police departments immediately following the 2016 presidential election.
