(Washington, DC) -- A Clark County man is among three U.S. soldiers killed by an explosive device on Tuesday in Afghanistan. The Pentagon is identifying the soldiers as Army Sergeant Eric Michael Emond of Brush Prairie, Washington, Army Captain Andrew Patrick Ross of Virginia, and Air Force Staff Sergeant Dylan J. Elchin of Pennsylvania. The Taliban has claimed credit for the attack that also injured three other service members and a contractor. Thirteen Americans have died in Afghanistan this year, twelve of them in combat.
