(Vancouver, WA) -- A man wanted on assault and harassment charges is in police custody following a SWAT standoff at a hotel in Vancouver. The Clark County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to the Salmon Creek-area Quality Inn yesterday morning seeking 28-year-old Mark Savelle on charges of first-degree assault and felony harassment out of Tacoma, Washington. Police say Savelle shot himself in the leg and then barricaded himself inside a hotel room. Police eventually managed to take him into custody and took him to a hospital for treatment.
