(Portland, OR)  --  One woman is dead after being hit by a car while crossing the street near the Wood Village Town Center.  The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office says the unidentified woman was walking across Northeast 223rd Avenue at Arata Road last night when a driver crashed into her, killing her.  Police say the driver is cooperating with investigators.
