(Portland, OR)  --  A Welches man is being held without bail after allegedly beating a woman severely with a piece of wood.  Police say 61-year-old William Bouley called 9-1-1 Wednesday morning to report that he had beaten someone to death and was planning on killing himself.  Officers responded to his home on East Twinberry Loop, where they found a woman on the couch with a severe head wound.  She was reportedly conscious but disoriented.  Police arrested Bouley on a charge of attempted murder.
