(Portland, OR)  --  Fees are going up for some public pools in Portland.  The city Parks and Recreation department says they've increased fees for day-use pool passes by about 25-percent as of January 1st.  The department says the increased fees are necessary to cover rising operating costs and increases to worker benefits like health care and retirement.  The department says the fees vary from facility to facility.
