(Hood River, OR) -- A missing pilot from southwest Washington is presumed dead after crews found his airplane crashed on Mount Hood. The Hood River Sheriff's Office says they found the crash site yesterday near Eliot Glacier on the north side of the mountain. The 63-year-old pilot George Regis was reported missing Monday after taking off from Grove Field Airport in Camas Friday. Police believe he was the only person onboard. An investigation into the crash is ongoing. A recovery operation is scheduled for this morning.
