(Portland, OR)  --  A plumber is facing charges of financial elder abuse after allegedly stealing more than 17-thousand-dollars from a woman's bank account.  The Washington County Sheriff's Office says Cris Brackens persuaded an 88-year-old customer into handing over her debit card so he could buy supplies for a job.  Brackens allegedly took the card to several stores and made small purchases while withdrawing the maximum amount of cash possible under the cash back option.  He also allegedly withdrew cash directly from ATMs.  Police believe he may have additional victims.
