(Salem, OR)  --  Statewide rent control could be on its way to Oregon.  The state Senate approved the policy yesterday, along with new restrictions on evictions without cause.  The Oregonian reports that the bill sailed through the Senate, mostly along party lines.  The House gets it next, and representatives are expected to treat it kindly.
