(Portland, OR) -- Two boaters are lucky to be alive after falling into the ocean near Netarts Bay. The Coast Guard says a man and a woman were fishing off of a jet-propulsion type personal watercraft near Netarts Bay yesterday morning when a wave flipped them over and threw them into the water. The man reportedly used a marine radio to call for help, and a Coast Guard crew from Tillamook Bay rescued them. The Coast Guard they might not have found the couple in time if not for the fact that they were wearing both life jackets and wetsuits.
