(Portland, OR) -- The stepson of a Portland woman accused of murdering her husband is filing a lawsuit against her. Nathaniel Stillwater has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Nancy Crampton Brophy for the death of his father, Dan Brophy, a well-known Portland chef. Crampton Brophy allegedly shot him to death at the Oregon Culinary Institute last June. Crampton Brophy worked as a romance novelist and once wrote an essay she called "How to Murder Your Husband." Stillwater is seeking up to one-point-seven-million dollars in damages.
