Oregon Wolves Could Lose Endangered Status

(Undated)  --  Wolves in Western Oregon may soon lose their protection under federal law.  Officials for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plan to propose the removal of all gray wolves in the Lower 48 states under the Endangered Species Act.  Doing so would place the animals under protections found in state law.  Statewide, Oregon's wolf population is just above 120 animals.
