State Ethics Commission Rejects Settlement With Former First Lady

(Salem, OR)  --  The Oregon Ethics Commission has unanimously rejected a proposed settlement with former Oregon First Lady Cylvia Hayes.  Back in January, Hayes agreed to pay a 44-thousand-dollar fine for multiple violations of ethics laws after investigators found she used her access to former Governor John Kitzhaber to land consulting work.  The vote from the Commission sends all sides back to the drawing board to find a new arrangement.
