(Portland, OR)  --  A 69-year-old Wisconsin man who was rescued from subzero temperatures while cross-country skiing in Oregon has died.  The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office says Ted Gifford died late last week in a Bend hospital.  Deputies rescued Gifford and fellow skier Robert Skille from the remote Metolius Windigo Trail last Thursday after receiving a 9-1-1 call from the two.
