(Portland, OR)  --  Police in The Dalles say they shot and killed a 77-year-old man after he allegedly fired a rifle at his neighbor's home.  Police responded to the 19-hundred-block of East 10th Street Saturday night on reports that James Young was firing off rounds from his porch.  A responding officer ended up shooting Young, who later died from his injuries.  The officer involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave per standard procedure.
