Crews Continue Work On Broken Water Main

(Portland, OR)  --  Work continues this morning on a broken water main that sent millions of gallons of water bursting into Portland city streets over the weekend.  The Portland Water Bureau says the pipe that broke Saturday in the Alberta neighborhood was more than 100 years old.  The break left more than 12-thousand Pacific Power customers without electricity or gas Saturday.  The Portland Water Bureau says crews installed a new valve yesterday and are now working to replace a section of badly damaged pipe.
