(Salem, OR) -- More than 350-thousand Oregonians may have had their private health information compromised following a data breach in the Department of Health Services. DHS officials say the breach occurred in January after nine employees opened a phishing email and clicked on a link that compromised their email system. Information at risk includes client names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and data protected under HIPPA. An outside agency is now performing a forensic review, and will contact anyone whose information was exposed.
