(Portland, OR) -- Hundreds of e-scooters will return to Portland starting late next month. The Portland Bureau of Transportation is putting the final touches on a year-long program that will bring 25-hundred scooters to the Rose City. PBOT officials say they could have as many as nine-thousand scooters by January, if companies qualify for incentives. Under the program, riders must wear helmets and could stiff face fines for riding on sidewalks or parking illegally.
