(Salem, OR)  --  Members of the Oregon Senate have finalized the measures they hope to tackle in their much-anticipated omnibus gun bill.  Proposals in Senate Bill 978 include requiring safe gun storage, granting local authorities power to regulate gun access in public buildings and allowing retailers to set higher age restrictions for firearms purchases.  The bill does not include several requests from gun control groups, particularly limits on high-capacity magazines and a ban for assault-style weapons.
