(Vancouver, WA) -- A memorial service is scheduled next week for a sheriff's deputy killed in the line of duty in southwestern Washington. Cowlitz County Sheriff Brad Thurman says the memorial for Deputy Justin DeRosier will take place next Wednesday at the Chiles Center at University of Portland. DeRosier was shot and killed Saturday night while checking on a disabled motorhome blocking a road near Kelso. Suspected shooter Brian Butts was shot and killed by Kelso police officers the following night after he allegedly flashed a gun at them while they were trying to arrest him. Two brothers, Matthew and Michael Veatch, also face charges in the case.
