SE Portland Bar Apologizes For Trans Discrimination Incident

(Portland, OR)  --  A bar in southeast Portland is apologizing after security guards there forcefully removed a transgender person from the women's bathroom.  White Owl Social Club issued an apology on Facebook yesterday and added it has fired the two security guards involved in the incident.  Alex Schwarting tells KATU she was looking for an open stall in the women's bathroom at the bar Saturday when a security guard grabbed her and dragged her out by force.  Schwarting says she is in the process of transitioning into a man but is still legally female and still uses the pronouns she and her.
