(Sacramento, CA) -- Medical schools at UC-Davis and Oregon Health & Science University will soon be working together to expand access to quality medical care in the rural areas between Portland and Sacramento. Dr. Mark Henderson from the UC-Davis School of Medicine says the partnership addresses a shortage of doctors in these areas. The California Oregon Medical Partnership to Address Disparities in Rural Education and Health, or COMPADRE for short, is being funded by a five-year, 1.8 (M) million dollar grant from the American Medical Association.
