Gray Whale Washes Up Dead On Oregon Coast

(Warrenton, OR)  --  An investigation is ongoing into the death of a gray whale that washed ashore near Sunset Beach late last week.  Staff members at the Seaside Aquarium say the whale washed up Friday afternoon.  A necropsy performed over the weekend failed to turn up any concrete evidence on how the whale died.  Further testing is being scheduled.  The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says nearly 70 gray whales have washed up along the pacific coastline so art this year.
