Oregon Counties To Receive Federal Funding Linked To Property Taxes

(Salem, OR)  --  Oregon will receive federal funding to help communities suffering property loss.  The U.S. Department of the Interior announced 37-million-dollars will be issued to Oregon to help offset losses in property taxes for communities with non-taxable federal lands within their boundaries.  Kalamath and Deschutes counties will receive the largest sum with more than three-million-dollars.  The rest will be split between every other county.
