Brown Considering Executive Action On Carbon Emissions Bill

(Salem, OR)  --  Oregon Governor Kate Brown is considering executive action on a carbon emissions bill which failed to get through the legislature.  Brown told reporters yesterday she wants the legislature to reach a compromise on cap and trade, but is willing to look at alternative paths to get the policy in place.  She also promised the bill was a good product and was a collaborative effort.  Republican senators left the state for nine days during last month's legislative session and returned after getting promises there would be no vote.  The governor says carbon emissions need to be reduced, and doing nothing isn't an option.
