(Washington, DC)  --  U.S. Senator Ted Cruz is vowing to not buy Nike anymore after the company pulled a shoe based on Betsy Ross' flag design.  The Texas Republican tweeted yesterday he respects the company's decision but thinks they're showing contempt for people who stand for the National Anthem and military members.  The Wall Street Journal reported Nike pulled the Ross flag shoes because former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick [[ KAP-er-nik ]] complained it was flown during times when slavery was common.
