(Portland, OR)  --  A new public beach is open along the Willamette River.  The Audrey McCall swimming beach near the Hawthorne Bridge opened to the public last Friday.  The beach is named for the late first lady of Oregon Audrey McCall.  It's Portland's second official public beach on the river.
