(Undated)  --  Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley says the planet is warming faster than anticipated.  He gave the weekly Democratic address Friday, discussing issues related to climate change, including carbon emissions, rural economy and jobs.  Merkley stressed that taking care of the planet had side benefits, such as creating high-paying jobs in underserved communities.  He pushed the benefits of the Good Jobs For 21st Century Act which would address climate change by giving tax credits to businesses.
