Sprinklers Extinguish Flames At Salem Health Hospital

(Salem, OR)  --  Fire crews say sprinklers did their job and put out a fire at Salem Health Hospital yesterday morning.  Smoke was reported at the building at 6:30 a.m., and by the time firefighters got there the sprinklers were already spraying water.  The source of the smoke came from inside an elevator shaft.  The building suffered smoke and water damage and patients were relocated.
