Oregon To See All Cage-Free Eggs By 2024

(Salem, OR)  --  All of the eggs produced in Oregon will be cage-free by 2024.  Governor Kate Brown signed the bill into law on Monday.  It requires all eggs that come from large farms and that are sold in Oregon to come from chickens that weren't housed in cramped quarters.  Eggs will likely cost more, but supporters say this is about being humane.  The move means the entire west coast will soon be a cage-free zone.
