(Beaverton, OR)  --  A police officer is recovering after being bitten by a stray dog on Highway 26.  The Beaverton Police Department says someone spotted the loose dog running in and out of traffic yesterday morning near the Murray Boulevard exit.  Police were trying to bring the dog to safety when it bit one of the officers.  He was hospitalized but is expected to recover.
