(Newport, OR)  --  The iconic Oregon Undersea Gardens in Newport is closing up shop.  Mariner Square announced the closure yesterday, saying they're shutting it down to focus on renovating the nearby Ripley's Believe it or Not! and The Wax Works.  The aquarium has been in operation in Newport's Historic Bayfront area for 46 years.  The last dive show happened yesterday, but the gardens property will remain open through Sunday to allow folks to say goodbye.  Admission is free.
