(Portland, OR)  --  U.S. Senator Ron Wyden is encouraging union members to make sure they're represented in the White House in 2020.  The Oregon Democrat made the statement yesterday during the annual Labor Day union picnic at Portland's Oaks Amusement Park.  Wyden says it's time to end tax breaks for the rich and to start prioritizing the needs of the working class.  Oregon AFL-CIO president Tom Chamberlain echoed the sentiment, saying workers are falling farther and farther behind the wealthy in terms of wages.
