(Portland, OR) -- State health officials say vaping could be to blame for the death of Portland patient suffering from a severe respiratory illness. The Oregon Health Authority says the patient died in July at Providence Health in Portland. The agency says the patient had recently used a vaping device to imbibe a cannabis product purchased at a pot shop in Oregon. The patient's symptoms were reportedly similar to symptoms suffered by more than 200 mostly young people linked to vaping across the country.
