(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Police Department is investigating the assault of a ride-share driver as a possible bias crime.  Police say a ride-share passenger assaulted the driver last month while making comments about the driver's gender identity.  The assault happened near Southwest 18th Avenue and Salmon Street.  The driver is still recovering from injuries.  Police are asking anyone with information on the assault to contact them.
