High School Student Gets Three Years Probation For Shotgun At School

(Portland, OR)  --  A Parkrose High School student who brought a loaded shotgun to campus is facing three years of probation.  Prosecutors say 19-year-old Angel Granados-Diaz pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of unlawful possession of a firearm in a public building and one count of unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in public.  The plea deal includes instructions for Granados-Diaz to begin receiving mental health treatment and substance abuse treatment immediately.  Police arrested him on May 17th after he brought a shotgun with one round in it to school during what he later described as a mental health crisis.
