(Portland, OR) -- Police say a University of Portland student who's been missing for more than a week may be hopping trains and living "off the grid." Investigators believe 18-year-old Owen Klinger had been viewing videos about hopping freight trains just prior to his disappearance October 6th. Police say he was last seen walking toward a railway yard after leaving campus that night. Investigators say he had also recently watched the film "Into the Wild" about a young man who leaves his home and moves to Alaska to live off the grid in nature. Police say the search will continue.
