Metro Asking Taxpayers To Approve $475 Million Bond To Improve Parks

(Portland, OR)  --  Metro is asking taxpayers for 475-million dollars to improve Portland parks.  The regional planning government has a bond measure on the November ballot.  The agency would use the funding to fix up Blue Lake and improve water quality and the fish and wildlife habitat.  If approved, it would tax homeowners at 19 cents for everyone one-thousand dollars of assessed value.
