(Hillsboro, OR) -- Two Hillsboro police officers are on paid administrative leave following the officer-involved shooting death of a man outside a precinct Monday night. The Hillsboro Police Department says the shooting happened between the department's West Precinct and a shopping center next door. The officers were investigating "suspicious circumstances" involving two vehicles parked there when they noticed one of the drivers was armed with a gun. The officers reportedly told the man to drop the gun and then opened fire on him when he refused. The other driver was not injured, and police are still trying to determine his involvement in the case. An investigation is ongoing.
