Sewage Spills Into Willamette River

(Portland, OR)  --  Officials are warning residents to avoid the Willamette River following a sewage leak.  The Bureau of Environmental Services says about three-thousand gallons of sewage spilled into the river just north of the Morrison Bridge along the Eastbank Esplanade.  Crews noticed the leak yesterday morning and had it repaired by the afternoon.  People are urged to avoid contact with the water for the next two days.
