(Portland, OR)  --  Portlanders are voting to renew the annual property tax that funds nearly a third of the Portland Public Schools District teachers' salaries.  Early ballot returns show the property tax renewal passing with 73-percent of the vote.  The renewed tax would maintain the same rate approved by voters in 2014 of one dollar and 99 cents per one-thousand dollars of assessed value.
